I know I'm a little late with posting this but I have to cover it. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have finally decided to make it official...they are engaged! After years of dating, numerous headlines, and six kids later, Brad Pitt finally decided to put a ring on it. If you thought the royal wedding was a big deal just wait until this wedding comes along. Now the tabloids are gonna be speculating about where and when they will wed, what they will wear, what their kids' roles will be in the wedding and who might be in attendance. Some reporters even say that "This is America's equivalent to Prince William and Kate Middleton." This will definitely be a huge media event. The media is already fascinated by the ring. Pitt's manager confirmed the couple's engagement after Jolie was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger. The Jeweler, Robert Procop said he spent a year working with Pitt to design the ring. So, this was definitely something Brad had in the works for a while. Some tabloids speculate that the wedding might not be a big event and that it might be a private, low-key wedding. Either way, there will be massive media coverage. For the longest time, the couple had a pact that they wouldn't marry until there were equal rights for all gays to marry also. However, 48 year old Brad Pitt said in an interview in February that he didn't think they'd be able to hold out that long. He said that his kids had also been questioning him about it, so I guess the timing is just right. The two actors have been together since they started dating in 2005 while working on the movie "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." They were already two huge celebrities on their own, but the match instantly made them Hollywood' most glamorous and photographed couple. At the time, Pitt was also still married to Jennifer Aniston when he met Jolie, which only fueled the tabloids even more. Pitt and Aniston divorced in 2005 after five years of marriage. I have to admit, this makes me lose a lot of respect for Brad Pitt knowing that he possibly cheated and/or left his wife for Angelina Jolie. That's just my personal opinion. However, regardless of all that this will be a huge wedding. Magazine sales alone are going to skyrocket off of this wedding. Journalists from all over the country will swarm to cover this wedding. I gotta admit, I'll be excited to hear about all the details when this highly awaited wedding finally does occur.

Rosie O'Donnell says Lindsay Lohan could end up dead like Whitney Houston
It's been in the media for years, Lindsay Lohan is obviously going down a doomed path unless she gets an intervention, according to Rosie O'Donnell. Rosie talked about Lindsay during her appearance on The Today Show. Rosie suggests that she could very well end up like Whitney Houston...DEAD! O'Donnel said, "Watching Whitney Houston's funeral I remember thinking, 'Why didn't more people say what they knew?' We all knew.' We watched Being Bobby Brown... it was like watching Sid and Nancy... they were people in the throws of addiction. But all anyone cared about was that the show was getting ratings. To look at Lindsay Lohan, you can't help but feel for her... and I do not think she's untalented, I think she's quite talented." I have to agree with Rosie that Lindsay needs help but she has to want it herself. She has to want it more than fame and being in the tabloids. "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink." It is very unfortunate to see such young Hollywood celebrities throwing their lives and talent away. Hopefully she will realize what she is doing to herself before it is too late and get the help she needs.

Dick Clark Dies At 82; Suffers Massive Heart Attack
I'm sad to share the news that was just released by TMZ and other news reports that Dick Clark has just passed away today at the age of 82. He suffered a massive heart attack. We lost another legend. For those of you who may not know, Dick Clark was famous for many things throughout his career. He was a famous TV producer and the "New Year's Rockin Eve" host. He was also famous for his show "American Bandstand" where he got his first big break and continued to host and produce until 1989. Dick hosted Miss Universe from 1990-1993. He was also known as the host of many game shows like "Pyramid," "Scattergories," "The Challengers," and many more. Dick Clark's rep told TMZ that he had been in St. John's hospital in L.A. after undergoing an outpatient procedure last night. Clark suffered the massive heart attack following the procedure and attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful. Dick Clark's health had been getting worse since he suffered a stroke in 2004, which forced him to retire from his hosting gig at "New Year's Rockin Eve." He also suffered from type 2 diabetes. Ryan Seacrest took over the show in 2006 when he left. Dick has appeared on the show here and there ever since. Although, I am sad by the news of Dick's death, I must say he had a very successful life all the way up to the very end. He had been inducted into practically every hall of fame on the planet including the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame. He had also received a total of 5 Emmy Awards for his work, as well as a Peabody Award. One Emmy was a lifetime achievement award. He was married 3 times and has 3 children from his first two marriage. He is survived by his current wife Kari Wigton. Dick was a fighter until the very end. Personally, I am a big fan of "New Years Rockin Eve" and New Years Eve definitely will never be the same again without him.
Rest in Peace Dick Clark.

Taylor Swift thanks Kevin McGuire in ACM Awards speech
The 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards took place recently and as I posted earlier, Taylor Swift was supposed to take New Jersey teen, Kevin McGuire as her date. Unfortunately, Kevin, who is suffering from leukemia, couldn't make it after he was hospitalized March 30 at the last minute with a high fever. Taylor promised Kevin a shoutout since he couldn't make it to the awards. During Taylor's acceptance speech for Entertainer of the Year, she acknowledged McGuire, saying, "Kevin and all your family and your friends, thank you for wanting to take me to the ACM's." Originally, Taylor was supposed to go to Kevin's prom with him in response to a campaign started by his sister but couldn't make it due to other commitments. However, she made sure her 18 year old friend was at the award show in spirit and she tweeted that she hoped to make it up to Kevin soon. Hopefully she has something fun in store for her loyal fan and can make his wish come true.
